Set a minimum or maximum order

Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.

This page answers three questions owners ask about orders: how to set a smallest or largest order, how to change the order email address, and how to change wording in the store.

Set a minimum or maximum order total

You can set the smallest and largest order subtotal your store will accept.

1. Log in to your site editor.
2. In the side panel, click Store, then Manage Store.
3. Click Settings, then Cart & Checkout.
4. Set the minimum and maximum allowed order subtotal.
5. Save, if the page asks you to.

Pick a minimum that covers your costs on a small order, such as packing time and the fee your payment company takes. Tell customers the minimum on your store pages, so it doesn't catch them by surprise.

Set a minimum quantity for one product

The order total setting applies to the whole cart. A rule such as "at least 6 of this product" needs an extra paid tool for your store. Ask us about adding it. We quote it in writing first, and nothing is billed unless you approve.

Change where order emails go

If you aren't getting order emails, check the address your store has for you.

1. Click Store, then Manage Store, then Settings, then Mail.
2. Scroll to Mail Settings.
3. Click Change next to the mail addresses.
4. Enter the right address and save.

Change wording in the store

Many of the words shoppers see, such as labels, can be changed with an extra tool for your store. Send us the wording you want and where it shows, and we'll look at it. See also Add apps to your store.
