Show payment methods by delivery choice

Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.

Sometimes a payment method only makes sense for one kind of delivery. If you deliver locally yourself, you may want to take cash at the door. If you offer pickup, you may want "pay in store". You can tie a payment method to the shipping options it applies to, and customers only see it when they pick one of those.

Steps

1. Log in to your site editor.
2. In the side panel, click Store, then Manage Store.
3. Click Payment.
4. Choose the payment method and click Edit.
5. Scroll to Payment method availability based on shipping choice and click Limit availability by shipping method.
6. Click Select Methods.
7. Check the box for every shipping or delivery method this payment method should be offered with, then click Select.
8. Click Save.

After you save, shoppers see this payment method only when they pick one of the options you checked.

Good to know

• Leave every box unchecked and the payment method is offered with all your delivery options.
• Set up your shipping and pickup options first, or there is nothing to choose from. See Set up shipping rates, Offer local delivery and Offer in-store or curbside pickup.
• Place a test order for each delivery choice to check the right payment methods show.
