Add tabs to a page
Group related content under tabs, such as services, plans or team, so visitors click between them instead of scrolling a long page.
Tabs put related content side by side under short labels. A visitor clicks a tab to see its content, so they don't have to scroll past things they don't care about. They suit a set of services, a few packages, or your team.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor and open the page.
- In the side panel, click Add, then click Elements.
- Search for Advanced Tabs, then drag it onto the page.
- Click one of the tabs. In the small menu that appears, click Content.
- Click + Add tab for each tab you need.
- Next to a tab, click the three dots icon and choose Rename to name the tab.
- Click a tab on the page and add its content. Each tab can hold text, a photo, a button, or any other widget.
- To change the order, drag the tabs into the order you want in the Content list.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
To copy a tab, click the three dots icon and choose Duplicate. To remove one, choose Delete.
Change how the tabs look
Click a tab, then click Design in the small menu. Open Tab Default State to style the tabs as they normally look. Open Tab Hover & Selected States to style a tab when a visitor points at it or has it open. You can change the text style, background and direction.
These settings change the tabs themselves, not what's inside them. Each tab holds its own content, so you can lay out one tab differently from another.
Tips
- Keep tab labels short and the number of tabs modest. Every extra tab leaves less room for each label.
- Put the tab people want most first.
- Check the phone view. See Check how your site looks on a phone.
- If you only need questions and answers, an open-and-close list is simpler.
