Add a widget to a page
Widgets are the building blocks of a page: buttons, forms, maps, galleries and more. Find one, drag it where you want it and fill it in.
Widgets are the building blocks of a page: a block of text, a button, a contact form, a map, a photo gallery. You add one by dragging it from a list onto the page, then filling it in with your own words and photos.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor and open the page.
- In the side panel, click Add, then click Elements.
- Find the widget. Type its name in the search bar, or pick a category.
- Drag the widget from the list across to the page. A blue marker shows where it will land.
- Let go when the marker is where you want it. The widget appears there.
- Click the new widget. A small menu appears. Choose the option to edit its content, then type or choose what it should show.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
Add one from the page itself
If a widget is already on the page, click it, then click the plus (+) icon in its small menu. The editor offers the four most popular ones first. Click More widgets to browse the rest. The new widget goes in right below the one you clicked.
Add a photo, video or icon
Click Add, then Media. Use the filters to find what you want, or click Upload Media to bring in a new file. Drag it onto the page and the right widget is added for you. Dropping a photo into a store catalog, a product gallery or a widget linked to dynamic pages isn't possible. Ask us if you need one of those filled.
Tips
- A widget always lands inside an existing column. Dropping one on the page won't create a new column.
- Most widgets have two sets of settings: what it says (content) and how it looks (design). Both are in the small menu. Not every widget has every option.
- Add one widget, fill it in, then check the phone view before adding the next. See Check how your site looks on a phone.
- Don't copy and paste a contact form to make another. The copy often misbehaves. Add a fresh one instead: Add a contact form.
