Fill a table from a spreadsheet
Already have your prices or schedule in a spreadsheet? Save it as a CSV file and upload it into your table instead of retyping.
If your price list or schedule already lives in a spreadsheet, you don't have to retype it. Save the sheet as a CSV file, then upload it into a table on your page.
Before you start
- Have a table on the page. If you don't, see Add a table.
- Start from a sheet made in Excel or Google Sheets. It only works for languages that read left to right, not right to left ones.
- Keep it to text and links. A table can't hold pictures or buttons.
- Stay within 150 rows and 30 columns.
Steps
- In Google Sheets or Excel, download or save the sheet as a CSV file. Look for CSV in the download or save options.
- Log in to your site editor and open the page.
- Click the table and open its content editor from the small menu.
- Choose the option to upload a CSV file, then pick the file you saved.
- Look the table over. Check the headings, the numbers and any links.
- To empty the table before you upload, click Clear All. This removes everything in it.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
Tips
- Type prices in the sheet the way you want customers to read them, for example "12.50" or "From 12", then check them after the upload.
- To change one number later, click the table and edit it directly. You don't need to upload the file again.
- Want your site to update when you edit the sheet? A table can be connected to a Google Sheet. Ask us about it. See Update your site from a Google Sheet.
