Add social media icons

Social icons are small buttons that open your accounts when someone taps them. They link out from your site. They don't post anything for you.

Before you start

Have the web address of each profile ready. Open each one in your browser and copy the address from the address bar. Use your business accounts, not personal ones.

Steps

1. Log in to your site editor and open the page. If the icons belong in the header or footer, open that area. See Edit your footer.
2. In the side panel, click Add, then Elements.
3. Drag Social Icons to the spot where you want it.
4. Click the widget, then choose its content settings from the small menu that appears.
5. Pick the icons you want to show.
6. Scroll down and paste the profile address into the field for each one.
7. Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
8. Open your site and click each icon, to check that it opens the right profile.

Change how the icons look or where they sit

Want different colors or sizes, or want the icons to stay in view as people scroll? Send us the page and what you have in mind, and we'll do it.

If your account isn't in the list

Click Add custom icon, then:

1. Type the address the icon should open.
2. Click Choose Icon to pick one from the icon list, or Upload SVG File to upload your own.
3. Use the color picker to set the icon and background colors.

If you have a logo file and aren't sure it will work, email it to us.

Tips

• Link only accounts you keep up. An account that hasn't been updated in a long time may put customers off.
• Use the same set of icons in the header and footer, so visitors find the same accounts wherever they look.
