Pages, menus and popups

Edit your footer

Change the text, links, background and spacing of the strip at the bottom of every page.

The footer is the strip at the very bottom, and it's the same on every page. It's a good place for your address, phone number and links to things like your privacy page or social accounts. Change it once and every page gets the change.

You edit the footer like a page. Click any text, button or icon in it and change it the way you would anywhere else.

  1. Log in to your site editor and scroll to the bottom of any page.
  2. Click the text you want to change, then type.
  3. For a button or link, click it and change where it goes. See Change a button's link or wording.
  4. Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.

Change the background and spacing

  1. Point at the footer's top edge, then click Footer.
  2. On the Style tab, pick a background color or image. You can also pick a border style and thickness.
  3. On the Spacing tab, change the space around and inside the footer.
  4. Publish.

What most footers hold

Good to know

  • The footer always keeps at least one row. If you only have one, you can't delete it.
  • Look at the footer on a phone too, and keep only what customers use.
  • If you only want the footer gone from one page, see Hide the header or footer on one page.
