Show your Instagram photos on your site
Connect your professional Instagram account to a gallery so your latest photos appear on your site automatically.
A photo gallery can pull in the photos from your Instagram account and keep itself up to date. When you post a new photo, it can show up on your site without you touching the page.
Before you start
- You need a professional Instagram account, either a Business or a Creator account. A personal or private account won't work. The account must be public.
- You connect your own account. We never see or set your password. You sign in yourself.
- Only photos show. Videos are skipped. If a post has several photos, only the first one shows. Photos from collaboration posts don't show.
- A site can be connected to one Instagram account at a time.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor and open the page.
- Add the Photo Gallery widget where you want it. See Add a photo gallery.
- Click the gallery, then choose the content option in the small menu that appears. You can also right-click it and choose Edit Content.
- Click Connect Instagram.
- Type your own Instagram login and click Log In.
- Click Authorize.
- Check the photos have appeared, then publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
If you'd rather not do this yourself, email us. We'll set up the gallery, and you only do the sign-in step.
What to expect
- The gallery shows up to 100 photos from your feed.
- It can be up to 2 hours before a new post shows on your site.
- You can still choose the layout, columns and spacing in the design settings. See Add a photo gallery.
If the photos stop showing
Your connection can expire. Open the gallery's content window, click Connect Instagram again, sign in and click Authorize.
If the wrong photos appear, or the gallery looks empty:
- In the content window, click Disconnect.
- Close the editor, then go to Instagram's website and sign out there.
- Open a private browsing window, log in to your site editor and click Connect Instagram again.
To switch to a different Instagram account, click Disconnect and sign in with the new one. You may need to clear your browser's saved data (its cache) after disconnecting and before you reconnect.
