Undo a change

Made a slip while editing? Use Undo to step back, Redo to step forward, and know where to go if you've already published.

Deleted the wrong photo, or typed over something you meant to keep? The editor has an undo button to take back your last change.

Steps

  1. In the top bar of the editor, click Undo. Your last change is taken back.
  2. Went back too far? Click Redo to bring the change back.
  3. Check the page. When it looks right, publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.

While you're typing

When you're editing text, the bar above the text has its own undo and redo buttons. They take back or bring back the previous change.

If you've already published

Undo may not reach a change that has already gone live. If you want an earlier version of your site back, see Restore an earlier version of your site. Or email us.

Tips

  • Before a big change, such as a new layout for a page, save a backup first. See Save a backup before a big change.
  • If a photo or a section vanished and undo doesn't bring it back, it may only be hidden. See Find and unhide hidden items.
  • The check mark in the top bar shows whether your changes are saved.
