Link text or a photo to another page

Turn words, a photo or a whole box into a link that takes visitors to another page on your site.

A link lets a visitor jump straight to another page: "See our menu", "Meet the team", a photo of a dish that opens its page. You can link words, a photo, a button or a whole box.

  1. Log in to your site editor and open the page.
  2. Click the text to open it for editing, then click and drag over the words you want to turn into a link.
  3. Click the link icon in the bar above the text.
  4. Choose Existing site page.
  5. Pick the page from the list.
  6. Finish editing the text.
  7. Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
  1. Click the photo, then click Replace Image. This opens the photo's settings.
  2. Find the link option there and choose Existing site page.
  3. Pick the page.
  4. Preview and publish, as above.
  1. Click the box, such as a column.
  2. In the floating bar, click the three dots and choose Add Link.
  3. Choose Existing site page and pick the page.

Things inside the box can keep their own links.

Tips

  • A button is the simplest link. See Add a button.
  • A link on a whole box doesn't count for how your page shows up on Google. If you link a box, put a button inside it that goes to the same page.
  • To link to an email address, a phone number or a file, see Link to an email address, phone number or file.
  • To open the page in a new tab, see Open a link in a new tab.
  • Click your link in the preview to make sure it goes to the right place.
