Download your product list

Your whole product list can be downloaded as one spreadsheet file. Use it as a copy for your records, to check prices at a glance, or as the starting point for changing many products at once.

Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.

Steps

1. Log in to your site editor.
2. In the side panel, click Store, then Catalog.
3. Click Product Catalog.
4. Click Export.

The file downloads to your computer as a CSV. Google Sheets is the safest place to open and save it. Excel can cause problems with the file, especially if it has special characters.

What's in the file

Each product is a row. The columns include the title, description, price, sale price, SKU, status, product type, inventory, category, photo web addresses, weight and package size, and the search title and description for the page.

Make changes in bulk

To change many prices or descriptions at once, edit the file you downloaded, save it as CSV and import it again. The steps are in Import or update products from a spreadsheet.

Two columns need care. Leave url-handle as it is, because it identifies each product, and a changed one creates a new product. The product type can't be changed from a spreadsheet.

Tips

• Download a fresh copy before you start a big round of edits, so you can see what you changed.
• Save your copy somewhere safe, with the date in the file name.
• Orders and customer details aren't part of this file.
