Edit many products at once

Changing a price on one product is easy. Changing it on forty is slow. The bulk editor shows your products in a table, so you can fix many at once.

Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.

Open the bulk editor

1. Log in to your site editor.
2. In the side panel, click Store, then Manage Store.
3. Click Catalog to see your products.
4. To edit everything, click Bulk Update, then Edit All. To edit only some, tick those products, click Bulk Update, then Edit Selected.

The limit is 100 products per round of edits.

What you can change

The name, SKU, availability, price, the Compare at price, stock, the stock level that triggers a low-stock notice, whether the product needs shipping or pickup, weight and size. Anything else you change on the product's own page.

Edit the table

Products are rows and details are columns.

1. Use the Columns menu on the left to hide the details you don't need. The name column always stays.
2. Click a white cell and type the new value. Gray cells can't be edited.
3. Click Save.

A dot marks products you've changed until you save. Click a column name to sort by it. Click Columns to fold the menu away and get more room.

You can also work from the keyboard. Tab picks a cell, and the arrow keys move you around the table. Enter saves your entry and moves down a cell. Esc throws away the change in the cell you're in.

Switch products on, off or delete them

1. On the Catalog page, tick the products.
2. Click Bulk Update.
3. Choose Enable, Disable or Delete Selected. If you choose delete, click Yes.

These changes save by themselves. Turning products off is a quick way to hide a seasonal range.

Assign or remove categories

1. Tick the products on the Catalog page.
2. Click Bulk Update, then Assign or Remove Categories.
3. Tick or untick the categories you want.
4. Click Apply.

You need at least one category besides the main store front page category first. See Organize products into categories.

Tips

• Before a big round of changes, download your product list as a copy to fall back on.
• Deleted products are gone for good. Disable them first if you're not sure.
