Add a table

Show a price list, class schedule or comparison in neat rows and columns. Type it in, paste it from a document, or upload a spreadsheet.

A table shows words in rows and columns. It suits a price list, a class timetable, or a side-by-side comparison of your packages.

Steps

  1. Log in to your site editor and open the page.
  2. Add a Table widget to the page. See Add a widget to a page if you need the steps.
  3. Click the table and open its content editor from the small menu.
  4. Add your information one of three ways:
  5. To start over, click Clear All. This empties the whole table.
  6. Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.

Change how it looks

Click the table and open its design settings from the small menu. You can change:

  • The border, the title bar and the background color.
  • The text style for the header row, the other rows and the first column.
  • The colors of even and odd rows, which makes the rows easier to read.
  • Whether every column is the same width, or each is as wide as its heading.
  • Which way the text runs and how it lines up. This applies to the whole table, never to single cells.

Check it on a phone

Switch to the phone view and open the table's design settings. You can pick how it shows:

  • Squish: shrinks the table to the width of the screen. It works for 2 or 3 columns.
  • Scroll: use it when there are many columns, so visitors can scroll to see them all.
  • Collapse: a more detailed layout. It suits short tables, not long ones.

Limits

  • A table holds text and links only. For pictures or buttons, use a list with pictures and links or build the layout from columns.
  • The most a table can hold is 150 rows and 30 columns.
