Show related products

Some products go together: a phone and its case, a guide and the tool it explains. Related products show a few suggestions under a product, so customers see what else might suit them.

Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.

Choose related products for a product

1. Log in to your site editor.
2. In the side panel, click Store, then Manage Store.
3. Click Catalog, then Products.
4. Next to the product, click Edit Product.
5. Click Related Products.
6. Pick how to show them:
   • To choose the products yourself, click Assign Products.
   • For random suggestions from one category, switch on Display random products.
   • Or use both together.
7. Save, if the page asks you to.

The suggestions show on the product page under You May Also Like.

Show them in the cart too

If a customer misses a suggestion on the product page, the cart is a second chance. The same You May Also Like box lists the related items for whatever is in the cart.

1. Go to Store, then Manage Store.
2. Click Settings, then General, then Cart & Checkout.
3. Scroll to Related products and turn on On Cart page.

Ideas

• A product that works well with an accessory: assign the accessory.
• A product that pairs with a guide, a refill or an extra service sold on its own: assign that.
• To make every product in one category suggest the others, use Display random products and choose that category for each of them.

Tips

• Keep it to items that really go together, so the suggestions make sense to a customer.
• Afterward, open a product page and check the suggestions look right.
