Sell on eBay
Connect your own eBay seller account to your store, pick the products to list and see eBay orders alongside your store orders.
- Add-on: ask us about adding it
eBay can act as a second shop window for your store. You choose which products to list, and your store and eBay keep stock and orders in step. The seller account is yours, and you sign in to it yourself. We never ask for your eBay password.
Online stores are an add-on. If your site doesn't have one yet, ask us about adding it; we quote it in writing first.
Before you start
- These steps are for stores that show Manage Store under Store in the side panel. If yours doesn't, email us and we'll check what your store offers.
- Listing on eBay may need a higher level of store than the basic one. If you don't see eBay under All Sales Channels, ask us and we'll check.
- Set up your eBay seller account first. eBay's own help walks you through it. In short, you sign up, choose how to pay seller fees, verify who you are and add a payment method eBay accepts.
Connect your store
- Log in to your site editor.
- Click Store, then Manage Store.
- Click All Sales Channels, then eBay.
- Click Install and follow the steps on screen.
- Choose the eBay category that fits most of your products. You can change it for individual products later.
The eBay page now shows how many products are on eBay and your eBay order total. Click Pick Products to choose what to list.
Get a product ready
- Click Catalog, then Products, then Edit Product next to the product.
- Open the Attributes tab.
- Choose its eBay category and its condition.
- Fill in every attribute marked as an eBay attribute. They are required.
The right category matters. A product in the wrong category, or with none, may not show in eBay's search. If a product has options such as sizes, make a combination for each one and give each its own SKU, for example ABC-1 and ABC-2.
List products
- Click Catalog, then Products.
- Check the products you want on eBay.
- Click Add products to eBay listing.
Uploading takes about 10 to 30 minutes. When it finishes, each product that uploaded successfully gets an eBay ID that links to its eBay page.
If something fails
Errors show in the Listed on eBay list. A message from the store usually means a missing eBay category or required attribute. A message from eBay usually means something in your eBay account: a payment, shipping or return policy that isn't set up, or an email address inside a listing, which eBay doesn't allow.
Orders
An eBay sale shows up in your store under My Sales, then Orders, and the stock updates itself. Change an order's status in your store and eBay follows.
eBay sets its own rules, fees and requirements, and can change them. Its help pages are the final word.
