Pages, menus and popups
Add a page
Add a blank page, a ready-made page or a link to another site from the Pages panel, then publish it.
Use this when an idea deserves its own page: catering, a seasonal menu, a service people look for by name. Your plan holds a set number of pages, so read Ask for a new page first. It explains what counts toward your plan and what to send us if you'd rather we build the page.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor.
- In the side panel, click Pages.
- Click Add Page.
- Choose where to start:
- Blank page: an empty page you fill in yourself.
- Designed page: a ready-made layout, such as a portfolio, a landing page or a contact page.
- Page builder: pick the sections one at a time and arrange them.
- Navigation folder: a menu heading that holds other pages. See Group pages under one menu item.
- Page URL: a link to another website.
- Answer each prompt that appears for your chosen page type.
- Fill the page with text, photos and buttons, the same way you edit any other page.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
If you chose Page builder
Click a section in the side panel to add it. The up and down arrows move a section; the trash can removes it. You can add up to 50 sections.
When the layout looks right, click Add Page to Site. Not ready? Click Save for Later, and the page waits under Pages in Progress in the Pages panel.
Tips
- Check your menu after you publish. If it's a hand-made list, add the page there too: Change the links in your menu.
- Name the page the way a customer would say it, such as "Catering" or "Summer menu".
- To keep a page off the live site while you finish it, see Publish one page, or keep a page as a draft.
