Edit on your phone
Add a photo from your phone
Swap in or add a photo you took on your phone, with the file types the editor accepts and what to know before you upload.
Here is how to put a photo from your phone on your page. If a step won't work on your phone, send us the photo and we'll do it.
Before you start
- Use the original photo from your camera, not a screenshot. See Take good photos with your phone.
- Photo types that work include png, jpg, jpeg, gif, svg and webp. If a photo won't upload, email it to us.
- Keep the file name simple, with no spaces or special characters.
- Anything you upload to your site can be seen by the public. Don't upload photos with personal or private information, such as IDs or customers' details.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor on your phone and open the page. See Edit your site from a phone or tablet.
- Tap the photo, then open its content settings from the menu that appears.
- To swap a photo that's already there, tap Replace. For an empty spot, tap + Image.
- Tap +Upload and choose the photo from your phone.
- In the Alt text field, type a short description of what the photo shows. See Write alt text in plain words.
- Preview the page and check the photo looks the way you want.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
Tips
- Each file can be up to 200 MB.
- If an upload fails, try a different photo. If others work, the problem is with that file, such as its size. Send it to us.
- Very large photos can slow a page. See Pick the right photo size and file type.
- To take a photo off your site completely, delete it from your photo library. See Rename, move or delete a photo or file.
- Got several photos to add? Email them to us with a line about where each goes. See Send us photos and files.
Need a hand?
Email the photo to hello@zossoz.com and tell us which page and which spot. We'll swap it in and write the description for you. We reply within one business day. It counts as one of your small changes for the month. See Request a change.
