Add a team member
What a team card needs (photo, name, role, a line or two), how to add one and what to do when someone leaves.
People choose a person. A short card for each stylist, barber, technician or advisor helps a customer feel they know who they're booking.
What each card needs
- A photo. A clear head-and-shoulders photo in natural light, ideally in front of a plain wall or window. See Take good photos with your phone.
- A name the way they want it shown, and their role.
- One or two sentences: what they're known for, how long they've been doing it, what they love. In their own words if you can.
- A link, if they have their own booking page or Instagram. Optional.
Ana Pérez. Senior barber. Fades and beard shaping since 2012, and the person to ask for when you want something clean and simple.
Before you add anyone
Get their OK to be on the site, in writing. An email or a text is enough. For someone under 18, get a parent's OK.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor and open your Team or About page.
- Copy an existing team card, or click the spot where a new one should go.
- Replace the photo (add alt text: "Ana Pérez smiling in the barber chair") and the words.
- Put the cards in the order you want.
- Check it on the phone preview, then publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
When someone leaves
Tell us, or remove the card yourself. Take the name and the photo down promptly, because a customer who asks for someone who's gone won't be happy.
Good to know
- Only list people who work with you now.
- Use the title they actually hold. Don't add licenses or credentials unless they're real and current.
- A big team can be a simple list of names and roles, with photos for the main people only.
Need a hand?
Email hello@zossoz.com with the photo, name, role and a sentence or two, and tell us they said yes. We'll add it in the same style as the other cards. It counts as one of your small changes for the month.
