Add blank space between sections
Give a crowded page room to breathe by adding a spacer, or by loosening the space built into each item.
A page that's crammed together is tiring to read. A bit of blank space between blocks makes it easier to read. The simplest way is to add a spacer: an invisible strip that adds blank space.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor and open the page.
- Add a Spacer widget to the page, in the spot where you want the gap: between two paragraphs, photos or other items. See Add a widget to a page.
- Check the page. If the gap is too small or too big, send us the page and we'll set the height for you.
- Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
A spacer adds vertical space only.
Another way: use the space built into each item
Every item on your page already has space around it, and you can change that without adding anything. See Change the space around and inside items.
Tips
- Check the phone view after you add a gap. See Check how your site looks on a phone.
- To remove a spacer, click it and delete it. See Move, copy, resize or delete something on a page.
