Connect your website address to your site

Point the address you own at your site. You send us the address, we send you the exact records to add, and you add them or give us temporary access.

Connecting your address means that when someone types yourbusiness.com, they land on your site. The address is yours and stays yours. We point it at your site, and you do one small job at the place where you bought it.

Before you start

  • You need an address you already own, bought in your own name. We never sell, register or hold an address, and it isn't part of your plan. If you aren't sure where you bought it, read Your website address (domain).
  • Your site should be ready to show the public. We publish it as part of this.

Steps

  1. Email hello@zossoz.com with your business name, the address exactly as it's written at your registrar, and the name of the company where you bought it (your registrar).
  2. We set your site up to answer at that address.
  3. We email you the exact records to add. Records are short settings kept at your registrar.
  4. Add the records at your registrar. If you'd rather not, you can give us temporary access to your registrar account instead. Many registrars let you invite someone without sharing your password. We never ask for your password.
  5. Wait. Most addresses start working within a few hours. Allow up to 48 hours.
  6. We check the address and tell you when it's live.

If you get email at your address

Tell us before you change anything at your registrar. Some changes there can stop email working, and we'd rather plan around it with you.

If it isn't working after 48 hours

Email us. These are the usual causes:

  • A setting at your registrar was changed or reset.
  • There's a billing problem on your registrar account.
  • Your browser is remembering an older page. Try another browser or your phone.
  • Your address settings are managed somewhere other than where you bought it, for example at Cloudflare. Tell us where.
