Colors, fonts and layout
Change your site's colors
Choose your brand colors once and link them to buttons, text and backgrounds, so a color change updates everywhere at once.
Your site keeps a palette of colors, and parts of your pages can be linked to it. Change a color in the palette and everything linked to it changes too: buttons, headings, backgrounds. It's the quickest way to refresh your look, so we suggest emailing us before you change it. A palette change reaches every page.

It may be turned off for your site. Ask us and we'll take care of it.
Set your colors
- Log in to your site editor.
- In the side panel, click Theme.
- Click the arrow next to Colors.
- Start with Primary: click the plus icon beside it. For another color, use the plus icon beside that one instead.
- Type the color's HEX or RGB code, or use the eyedropper to pick one from your site.
- Repeat for each color you want. You can set up to 30.
You can also have colors made from your logo. Open the primary color, click the Brand tab and click + Add Logo. A logo saved in your business details shows up here already. You then get colors taken from the logo.
Point at a color's name, then click its pencil icon to rename it.
Link colors to your pages
Colors only change everywhere if the pieces on your pages are linked to them.
- Click an item on a page, such as a button or a heading.
- Open its color settings and pick one of your site colors from the top of the list.
- Repeat for other items.
To change a color later, click the pencil icon next to it in a color list. The color settings open so you can edit it. Everything linked updates.
If your colors aren't linked yet, the editor can do it for you. Click Set Theme Colors, then Connect it for me. It looks at the colors your pages already use and offers a list. Choose the ones you want and click Save & Connect Colors. Choose I'll connect it myself if you'd rather link each one yourself.
Good to know
- Anything you colored by hand on a page keeps that color. It won't follow a palette change until you link it.
- The color picker shows colors you used recently on your site. The eyedropper matches any color from your site, including colors in photos.
- Gradients can't be saved as site colors. See Add a color gradient background.
- Pick text and background colors with plenty of difference between them. See Make your site easier for everyone to read.
Publish. If you don't see a Publish button, tell us and we'll publish it for you.
