Getting started
Change your login email or password
Switch the email you log in with, or choose a new password, from your account page.
Your login email is the address you sign in with. The editor also sends your notifications, stats and updates there, so it should be an address you check. You can change it, or your password, whenever you like. You do it yourself, on your own account page.
Steps
- Log in to your site editor. You'll land on your dashboard.
- Point at your initials, up at the top right of the screen.
- Click Account.
- To change your name, use the Profile section.
- To change the email you log in with, go to Login info and click Change email, just below the email box.
- To choose a new password, click Change password, just below the password box.
- Follow the prompts on screen.
Next time you log in, use the new email or the new password.
We never set or see your password. If we ever need access to something, we'll ask you to invite us, never to send a password.
Tips
- Use an email address only you can read.
- Pick a long password you don't use anywhere else. Three or four unrelated words work well. See Keep your logins safe.
- If you've forgotten your password, you don't need to change it here. Use the "forgot password" link on the login page. See Log in to your site editor.
- If you'd like us to write to your new address as well, tell us.
Don't see this?
It may be turned off for your site. Ask us and we'll take care of it.
